Rouven Nussli made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Martin Rana sent off a good shot on target. FC aDeX's Matei Oltean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Gierlach in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of FC aDeX booed when Champions Iasi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basarab Alexandru didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Romero in the 47th minute of play forced FC aDeX's goalkeeper Matei Oltean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Waldemar Gierlach made the kick off in the second half. Martin Rana took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rouven Nussli. Rouven Nussli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 55th minute Fabian Zăreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matei Oltean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Rana struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Rouven Nussli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC aDeX. Gheorghe Chifu kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Martin Rana made a precise shot to the right of Rouven Nussli. Champions Iasi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. If Martin Rana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 75 minutes Champions Iasi's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Spiro Cocca who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Cristinel Chinezu got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabian Zăreanu got free with Matei Oltean in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Matei Oltean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Zăreanu in the 95th minute of the match. Matei Oltean stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabian Zăreanu's shot from short distance in the 95th minute.
