The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. David Rotariu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frans Van Caubergen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Todor in the 5th minute of play forced Silver Squad AFC's goalkeeper Waud De Geyter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Hector Todor came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the PoWer SC 2K5 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Todor couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper David Rotariu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Loid De Keuster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. David Rotariu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frans Van Caubergen might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Rotariu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frans Van Caubergen ran back to his position shaking his head. If Leroy Kluttig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 24 minutes into the match, PoWer SC 2K5's Leroy Kluttig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Waud De Geyter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leroy Kluttig in the 25th minute of play forced Silver Squad AFC's goalkeeper Waud De Geyter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waud De Geyter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leroy Kluttig in the 27th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper David Rotariu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamin Carberry. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, David Rotariu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. David Rotariu was a little too slow when Frans Van Caubergen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 1-0. David Rotariu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damazy Radzyminski, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 40th match minute, PoWer SC 2K5 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Todor to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benjamin Carberry to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damazy Radzyminski in the 50th minute of play forced PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper David Rotariu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damazy Radzyminski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Rotariu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. David Rotariu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loid De Keuster, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After taking down the ball on Silver Squad AFC's corner Loid De Keuster fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and David Rotariu quite easily take care of the ball. Frans Van Caubergen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Rotariu having to make a save. Benjamin Carberry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Rotariu having to interfere. When Hector Todor fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PoWer SC 2K5's protests and gave Hector Todor a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Silver Squad AFC booed when PoWer SC 2K5 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Todor didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Silver Squad AFC had played much better football throughout.
