The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Brujas KV's Petruț Dicu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Enmanuel in the 10th minute of play. Froilan Jacob made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Torrey Molloy sent off a good shot on target. When 杨平帆 fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Formentera's protests and gave 杨平帆 a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Brujas KV booed when Formentera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. 杨平帆 didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Torrey Molloy got free with Froilan Jacob in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the match, Torrey Molloy dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Froilan Jacob, 2-0. Edgardo Rozarius was extremely unlucky when he, in the 33rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Torrey Molloy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Torrey Molloy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Froilan Jacob made a huge save. In the 39thth minute of the game Paulo Enmanuel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brujas KV's Petruț Dicu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Paulo Enmanuel put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Petruț Dicu. The throw-in from Manoel Cunha in the 45th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Formentera's Justino Hondo. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute Conrado Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Froilan Jacob saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brujas KV's Edgardo Rozarius managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by 杨平帆 in the 57 minute of the game. Formentera's Froilan Jacob played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Rozarius in the 63rd minute of play. Conrado Romero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Froilan Jacob having to make a save. 69 minutes into the match, Brujas KV's goalkeeper Petruț Dicu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Enmanuel. Paulo Enmanuel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Petruț Dicu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Brujas KV's Renato Portalupi was substituted for Anselmo Ler. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Romero in the 80th minute of play forced Formentera's goalkeeper Froilan Jacob to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th match minute, Brujas KV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosendo Paez to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the game, Conrado Romero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Froilan Jacob was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Renato Portalupi took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Froilan Jacob. Froilan Jacob dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. Brujas KV's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
