An unexpectedly hard shot by Cirilo Arlo in the 38th minute of play forced Formentera's goalkeeper Froilan Jacob to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cirilo Arlo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Froilan Jacob having to interfere. Justino Hondo's late challenge caught a BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
