When Elpidio Francis came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elpidio Francis couldn't finish the play. 31 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Virgilio Lawrence. After 33 minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ruperto Edorta who took care of the corner kick. The corner led ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Petrică Măcriș to fire away a dangerous shot which Benjamin Ivens despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and André Monclús made a kick off. Virgilio Lawrence struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Branislav Velchevski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KяαdivÄch3 FC. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Lawrence, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Bernardinho Linares in the 61st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Mustafa Ali Cansoy. Benjamin Ivens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of André Monclús's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. KяαdivÄch3 FC made a substitution. Fabian Cubero replaced Ruperto Edorta. 71 minutes into the game, Everardo Cordarell threw the ball into play from the sideline. KяαdivÄch3 FC's Bernardinho Linares quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After having played for 73 minutes, Pastor Hartz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KяαdivÄch3 FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pastor Hartz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78thth minute of the game André Monclús who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KяαdivÄch3 FC's Benjamin Ivens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benjamin Ivens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Monclús in the 79th minute of play. After 87 minutes of play, KяαdivÄch3 FC's Pastor Hartz made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Branislav Velchevski was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Pastor Hartz in the 92nd minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
