The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 20th minute Esterilla Van Meenen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, All Stars Gent's Eser Şemsi got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eser Şemsi could save by the left post. In the 36th minute of the match, Cristian Sancho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eser Şemsi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 38th minute, Christiaan Elsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esterilla Van Meenen struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for All Stars Gent.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Esterilla Van Meenen was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes All Stars Gent got a freekick which was hit by Esterilla Van Meenen. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eser Şemsi having to interfere. Eser Şemsi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 61st minute of the match. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by All Stars Gent's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Luis Andino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esterilla Van Meenen in the 75th minute of play. The supporters of All Stars Gent booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Christiaan Elsen sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute, Jesucristo Van Meenen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eser Şemsi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 81st minute of the match. Brend Van Laeck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christiaan Elsen went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 90 played minutes All Stars Gent got a freekick which was hit by Christiaan Elsen. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esterilla Van Meenen's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
