Jeremy Sneijers's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But to his dismay, Harry Huijghens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Axel Tasis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of LDB United booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. 俞桦鸿 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Mauro Feo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mauro Feo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Axel Tasis.

Mauro Feo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 63rd minute of the match. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Harry Huijghens sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when LDB United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Huijghens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Feo having to interfere. After 89 minutes, Efrain Moruga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the LDB United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense.
