Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 12 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cecilio Tristan. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Emiliano Enol kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. Abuba Akotonon FC's Hugo Orlando Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute of play. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Vânderson Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 33rd minute of play. Abuba Akotonon FC's Hugo Orlando Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Cecilio Tristan lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Julio Vera. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emiliano Enol in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Emiliano Enol sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. Vânderson Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cecilio Tristan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Hugo Orlando Gatti in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abuba Akotonon FC's Hugo Orlando Gatti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Abuba Akotonon FC from getting a goal against them. When Abuba Akotonon FC's Cecilio Tristan in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Enol in the 71st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vânderson Barbosa took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Abuba Akotonon FC made a substitution. Ramón Garay replaced Emiliano Enol. Abuba Akotonon FC's Rene Sanson was substituted for Emanuel Aurre. In the 89th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Abuba Akotonon FC's Genaro Elivareo tried to score from far away in the 89th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Cecilio Tristan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Cecilio Tristan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abuba Akotonon FC made a substitution. Ernesto Oxarra replaced Ramiro Rey. Abuba Akotonon FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
