Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) DIÖ IK's Staffan Ivarsson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, DIÖ IK's Staffan Ivarsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Per-Oskar Alfors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. DIÖ IK's Per-Oskar Alfors got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Tage Vassenius managed to get in a good position for a shot. DIÖ IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Tage Vassenius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nils-Åke Käller kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Yngve Göransson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 24th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jaime Cazalla. The supporters of DIÖ IK booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiliano Escribano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Staffan Ivarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximiliano Escribano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Yngve Göransson made a huge save. After the first half DIÖ IK were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. Francisco Seco struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Yngve Göransson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. If Staffan Ivarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Francisco Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yngve Göransson was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 65th minute Tage Vassenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Cazalla was slow to take the kick. During this time Uruguay's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of DIÖ IK's goalie and right to Alberto Gisbert. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. DIÖ IK's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. DIÖ IK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
