The supporters of Mexico booed when Club Atletico Juanita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Matteo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Result 1-2. Petrică Ştefoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 92nd minute of play. Mexico played a much better game than Club Atletico Juanita and deserved their victory. The Club Atletico Juanita players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
