Nery Pumpido made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Casaus in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nery Pumpido made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 93rd minute of play. After 94 minutes, Pablo Mora mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GuateFortín and the Chile players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pablo Mora kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Chile's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
