In the 2nd minute, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Xerxes Doro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Seco in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Peter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Flavio Peter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Gisbert charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Gisbert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th minute, Alberto Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Uruguay's Francisco Seco in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Escribano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Peter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavio Peter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Flavio Peter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xerxes Doro in the 41st minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute of the match, Karl-Michael Brask got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joaquin Gayoso was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Seco made a kick off. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tauro Doro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Flavio Peter made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl-Michael Brask in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Francisco Seco scored to the left of an out of position Flavio Peter, making the score, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl-Michael Brask in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tauro Doro in the 67 minute of the game. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti made a substitution. Marin Tufescu replaced Karl-Michael Brask. After a rather tough play, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Diego Tristan got a free kick in the 76th minute. Maximiliano Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diego Tristan hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Escribano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uruguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Batalionul U23 Dorobanti the free kick. After 95 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Escribano. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
