Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eugen Remus. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute of play forced Greenbay's goalkeeper Eugen Remus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Will Alderson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Will Alderson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Eugen Remus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eugen Remus in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Eugen Remus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Will Alderson got free with Julio Vera in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Will Alderson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Eugen Remus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 44th minute of play forced Greenbay's goalkeeper Eugen Remus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Eugen Remus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Andre Shakespeare might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eugen Remus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Eugen Remus in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andre Shakespeare in the 67th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Greenbay's Eugen Remus got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Eugen Remus when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Greenbay's Andre Shakespeare in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. In the 94th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eugen Remus quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Greenbay.
