Bogdan Kosakowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fryderyk Golembiewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 7th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Julian Dembowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. In the 19th minute Julian Dembowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by CF Apaches's Bogdan Kosakowski. But to his dismay, Bogdan Kosakowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Axel Tasis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Fryderyk Golembiewski skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Dembowski in the 28th minute of play. The referee gave CF Apaches a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bogdan Kosakowski, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. 0-3. Fryderyk Golembiewski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Tasis in the 35th minute. Axel Tasis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Fryderyk Golembiewski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 37th minute of the match Bogdan Kosakowski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Dembowski in the 38th minute of the match. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Dembowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Dembowski in the 42nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Carballo during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CF Apaches. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Julian Dembowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Julian Dembowski took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Noboa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fryderyk Golembiewski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julian Dembowski's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Benito Sanz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 73 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fryderyk Golembiewski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zygmunt Dudzik got free with Benito Sanz in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd play minute Zygmunt Dudzik came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Benito Sanz. 0-7. CF Apaches's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
