Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 12 minutes into the match, Limburg United's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Sean Van Dijck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Brend Vanden Driessche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anios Karaoulanis in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Limburg United getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Brend Vanden Driessche hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Anios Karaoulanis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Limburg United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Joris De Raeve kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Brend Vanden Driessche came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute of the match Limburg United got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fabian Orellana ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 35th minute of play forced Limburg United's goalkeeper Sean Van Dijck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joris De Raeve sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 46th minute Fredrik Terwenhout shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sean Van Dijck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 48th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Fredrik Terwenhout ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Sean Van Dijck made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. After 66 minutes of play, Limburg United's Fredrik Terwenhout made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sean Van Dijck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brend Vanden Driessche went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sean Van Dijck having to make a save. When Limburg United's Fredrik Terwenhout in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. 86 minutes into the match, Limburg United's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Sean Van Dijck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 92 in the game by Tomas Illescas from a close distance when the talented Sean Van Dijck managed to make a qualified save. Limburg United's players were relieved. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Limburg United fully deserved thier win.
