Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alfredo Martins started the match with the kick off. Dida Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 4th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Marquês de Herval's Selami Rezan got a free kick in the 5th minute. Dida Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Macos Graciani hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Alfredo Martins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 24th minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Marquês de Herval's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dida Taffarel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 30 minutes into the match, Alfredo Martins notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A sloppy throw-in by Macos Graciani in the 35th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Marquês de Herval's José Maria Ramalho. Moussa Kabre kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Dida Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dida Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 63rd minute, Alberto Tafalla reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dida Taffarel. The goal made the score 1-2. 71 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. In the 74th minute, Alfredo Martins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Macos Graciani got a throw-in 85 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Joel Gaona. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luca Zorita in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dida Taffarel saved Marquês de Herval from getting behind.
