Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ovidiu Poenaru made the kick off which started today's match. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Pedro Cerezo in the 4th minute of the match. Gerold Zollt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Ovidiu Poenaru came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Vera could save by the left post. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcus Terstappen was slow to take the kick. During this time DJK Füchtel Vechta's players had a chance to rest. The corner led DJK Füchtel Vechta's Marcus Terstappen to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidiu Poenaru in the 16th minute of play. Matthieu Richardot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Gerold Zollt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to DJK Füchtel Vechta getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Chris Kursawe hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, DJK Füchtel Vechta's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Gerold Zollt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. DJK Füchtel Vechta's Ovidiu Poenaru got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerold Zollt having to interfere. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Ecuador booed when DJK Füchtel Vechta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidiu Poenaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to DJK Füchtel Vechta getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. José Pedro Cerezo hit a great ball. After some careless play in the DJK Füchtel Vechta defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerold Zollt. The DJK Füchtel Vechta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerold Zollt should have stopped the shot. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Gerold Zollt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Ovidiu Poenaru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. DJK Füchtel Vechta's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcus Terstappen in the 58th minute. DJK Füchtel Vechta's Marcus Terstappen was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthieu Richardot, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Pedro Cerezo in the 65th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute DJK Füchtel Vechta were awarded a corner. Marcus Terstappen went to the cornerflag to take it. DJK Füchtel Vechta's Philipp Lahm was substituted for Rea Selbert. In the 87th minute José Pedro Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ovidiu Poenaru in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. DJK Füchtel Vechta made a substitution. Kai Baumbach replaced Chris Kursawe. When Wellington Nóbrega came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the DJK Füchtel Vechta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wellington Nóbrega couldn't finish the play. Ecuador played a much better game than DJK Füchtel Vechta and deserved their victory. The DJK Füchtel Vechta players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
