Hertha 1969's Nils Hovermann got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Montenegro in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rune Jarstein prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nils Hovermann. Hertha 1969 were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Colombia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Moritz Hasenjäger took the corner. The corner ended in Moritz Hasenjäger almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares did a great save. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Paulo da Silva in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Ignacio Mastache recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rune Jarstein. Ignacio Mastache showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Rune Jarstein made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Abram Secada sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ignacio Mastache got free with Rune Jarstein in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The attack was good, but when Ignacio Mastache in the 89th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Paulo da Silva in the 91st minute of play. Abram Secada who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Rune Jarstein when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 96 played minutes Hertha 1969 got a freekick which was hit by Kristian Oswald. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
