Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Célio Matorin kicked off to start the match. With his leg Clemente Varela managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when El Salvador's Moises Fernandino fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 5th minute Célio Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Carlos Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Célio Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Jorge Magrina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Salvador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MarquinhosEC the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Célio Matorin in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Zorita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th minute, Ulisses Carioca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Zorita was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 23 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Magrina. In the 26th match minute, MarquinhosEC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Loyola to maneuver through the defense. After 32 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Yepes. In the 39th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentino Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute, Célio Matorin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MarquinhosEC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Abram Luque's late challenge caught a MarquinhosEC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abram Luque helped the player get up and apologised. Abram Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The El Salvador players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MarquinhosEC were winning 0-2.

If Célio Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Carlos Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the MarquinhosEC defense, Abram Luque kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clemente Varela. The MarquinhosEC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clemente Varela should have stopped the shot. Alfredo Loyola got a throw-in 60 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Murillo de Sena. 65 minutes into the match, MarquinhosEC's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Fernandino came free, but Clemente Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Abram Luque ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Clemente Varela was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Ricardo Zorita made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Célio Matorin sent off a good shot on target. After 74 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Moises Fernandino. In the 76th minute, Ulisses Carioca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, MarquinhosEC's Ulisses Carioca got a free kick in the 77th minute. 88 minutes into the game, Moises Fernandino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Salvador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MarquinhosEC the free kick. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Moises Fernandino hit a great ball. Célio Matorin came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ricardo Zorita could save by the left post. The supporters of El Salvador booed when MarquinhosEC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umberto Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Mateo Leguizamo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as MarquinhosEC's Zé Carlos Barbosa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ricardo Zorita. That made the score 2-3 after 95 minutes of play. MarquinhosEC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
