Curacao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Taisto Leppänen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Bruno Barrett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sebastian Cengiz went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Gilberto Abancens put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Bruno Barrett. Curacao's Bruno Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taisto Leppänen in the 15th minute of play. After 17 minutes, Taisto Leppänen made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Curacao's Bruno Barrett tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Abancens in the 22nd minute of play. In the 27th minute Taisto Leppänen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Peer Jöckel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AC Rostock fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. In the 32nd minute, Onwuemelie Onwuachi made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Barrett. Curacao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Fernan Senin struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Bruno Barrett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Rostock. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Taisto Leppänen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Taisto Leppänen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. That made the score 0-12 in the 65 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Fernan Senin managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Rostock's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernan Senin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Barrett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Curacao's Bruno Barrett got control of the ball when Taisto Leppänen tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Sebastian Cengiz took a quick shot and it went in 0-13 without a chance for Bruno Barrett to make any attempt to save it. AC Rostock's Reiner Riedel was substituted for Peer Jöckel. Bruno Barrett came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by AC Rostock's Sebastian Cengiz. But to his dismay, Sebastian Cengiz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-14. The AC Rostock fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when AC Rostock's Taisto Leppänen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-15 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet as AC Rostock's Fernan Senin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bruno Barrett. That made the score 0-16 after 87 minutes of play. Onwuemelie Onwuachi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bruno Barrett came out and tried to block the shot, but Onwuemelie Onwuachi slotted it home off the left post making it 0-17 in the 90th minute. Taisto Leppänen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AC Rostock's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
