Hugo Ferrant helped the player get up and apologised. If Ulryk Jucha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Axel Tasis charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Axel Tasis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 27th minute. Zenon Nowak kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 31st match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Costa Rica's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tytus Mnich was slow to take the kick. During this time Kosynierzy FC's players had a chance to rest. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Zachariasz Osikowicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Avgust Garov fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kosynierzy FC's protests and gave Avgust Garov a yellow card for diving instead. Avgust Garov kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulryk Jucha to make the kick off.
