In the 11th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Mancebo to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Luca Zorita hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 18th minute of play forced UÅ Mästerbotten's goalkeeper Karl-Magnus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, UÅ Mästerbotten's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Karl-Magnus Ekrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Eulalio Xabier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iwo Posadzki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl-Magnus Ekrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Karl-Magnus Ekrot quite easily take care of the ball. Eulalio Xabier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Karl-Magnus Ekrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 39th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Eulalio Xabier sent off a good shot on target. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Magnus Ekrot having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eulalio Xabier to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Iwo Posadzki came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwo Posadzki in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when UÅ Mästerbotten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Schubert Beckenbauer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Mexico's Joel Gaona tried to score from far away in the 71st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 79 played minutes UÅ Mästerbotten got a freekick which was hit by Sören Klack. Joel Gaona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karl-Magnus Ekrot having to make a save. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl-Magnus Ekrot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After 91 played minutes UÅ Mästerbotten got a freekick which was hit by Eulalio Xabier. After 93 played minutes UÅ Mästerbotten got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Oskar Månsson. In the 95th minute, Rappo Rapado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mexico's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because UÅ Mästerbotten had won, even though Mexico had held more of the ball.
