Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Alberto Abascal in the 27th minute of play. Ariel Mourelatos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Alberto Abascal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 played minutes Amboy FC got a freekick which was hit by Shi Sha Quan. When Axel Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Colombia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Axel Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ariel Mourelatos having to make a save. 34 minutes into the match, Amboy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Ariel Mourelatos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Amboy FC's Marcelo Kauldi got a free kick in the 35th minute. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ariel Mourelatos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 38th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruperto Modestio in the 39th minute. Pedro Manzanares was a little too slow when Nicanor Mendiko got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 2-1. After a rather tough play, Amboy FC's Bruce Cornforth got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After 47 minutes of play, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ariel Mourelatos was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valerio Spadoni stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santino Seco in the 54th minute of play forced Amboy FC's goalkeeper Ariel Mourelatos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ariel Mourelatos made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Axel Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Mourelatos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruce Cornforth during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Amboy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruce Cornforth to maneuver through the defense. Amboy FC made a substitution. Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán replaced Valerio Spadoni. The supporters of Colombia booed when Amboy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruce Cornforth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amboy FC's Ariel Mourelatos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Amboy FC from getting a goal against them. Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelo Kauldi hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Abram Secada managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Abram Secada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ariel Mourelatos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amboy FC's Ruperto Modestio got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mario Alberto Abascal went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kevin Mastache in the 87th minute. A nice corner shot did that Kevin Mastache got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ariel Mourelatos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 89 minutes into the game, Mario Alberto Abascal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán scored 5-2 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
