Altos Gatos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Moises Gayoso made in the 7th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Faustino Orlo, made in the 10th minute of the game. In the 13th minute, Luz Tejedor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Javier Santo. Peru's Alonso Berganza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Faustino Orlo in the 23 minute of the game. Eliseo Mina scored 0-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christian Kiliz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Javier Santo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Altos Gatos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Javier Santo in the 36th minute. Agustin Villalobos made a great header on Altos Gatos FC's corner, it was just that Peru's Rolando Noboa managed to reach the ball for a save. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Altos Gatos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Joaquin Prats was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 47 minutes into the match, Altos Gatos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Christian Kiliz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Javier Santo was the one to do the kick off. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christian Kiliz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Javier Santo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Milagros Fraga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Milagros Fraga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Kiliz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Altos Gatos FC made a substitution. Carolo Abancens replaced Javier Santo. 70 minutes into the match, Altos Gatos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Christian Kiliz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Altos Gatos FC's goalkeeper Christian Kiliz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carolo Abancens in the 91st minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Joaquin Prats hit a great ball. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustin Villalobos in the 95th minute of the match. The Altos Gatos FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
