The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Marcus Botvidsson advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-1 in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Åke Termander in the 26th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
