Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Francisco Seco made the kick off and thus started the match. Aron Dahlbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 4th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thomas Wassberg in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. In the 15th minute MAFFIAN were awarded a corner. Gunde Svan went to the cornerflag to take it. Gunde Svan made a great header on MAFFIAN's corner, it was just that Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso managed to reach the ball for a save. After 16 played minutes MAFFIAN got a freekick which was hit by Alex Vallin. 17 minutes into the match, Uruguay's Francisco Seco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aron Dahlbom narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when George Svensson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aron Dahlbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Escribano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uruguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MAFFIAN the free kick. In the 22nd match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximiliano Escribano to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Escribano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Aron Dahlbom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of MAFFIAN booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Covarrubias didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aron Dahlbom saved MAFFIAN from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 39th minute of play forced MAFFIAN's goalkeeper Aron Dahlbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind MAFFIAN's goalkeeper Aron Dahlbom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in MAFFIAN's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aron Dahlbom came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by George Svensson during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thomas Wassberg to make the kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 53 minutes into the game, when Bruno Beldad put in a rough tackle. In the 53rd minute, one of Uruguay:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Uruguay. In the 59th minute, Thomas Wassberg made a precise shot to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. MAFFIAN's Hugo Nyman was substituted for Rudolf Josefsson. MAFFIAN's Dennis Edström was substituted for George Svensson. MAFFIAN's Torgny Mogren was substituted for Thomas Wassberg. In the 66th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximiliano Escribano to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Edström in the 68th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MAFFIAN's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Francisco Seco 70 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. After 73 played minutes MAFFIAN got a freekick which was hit by Gunde Svan. MAFFIAN's Torgny Mogren got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind MAFFIAN's goalkeeper Aron Dahlbom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Edström in the 86th minute of the match. Torgny Mogren's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torgny Mogren helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, MAFFIAN's Torgny Mogren got a free kick in the 88th minute. Dennis Edström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Uruguay players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
