With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Julio Garay threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristian Sancho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Julio Garay made a huge save. With a little luck, Rosario Central's Julio Garay got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line.
