Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Julio Garay made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Rosario Central's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Garay came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leopoldo Baraquiel in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Agustín Saelices in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Garay, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Agustín Saelices kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute. Though ot was a great shot Rosario Central's keeper Julio Garay was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. With a little luck, Rosario Central's Julio Garay got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Garay having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leopoldo Baraquiel to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Garay. Rosario Central's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rosario Central's goalkeeper Julio Garay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 62 minutes into the match, Rosario Central's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Julio Garay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rosario Central's Julio Garay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 65 minutes Rosario Central's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After 68 played minutes Leopoldo Baraquiel rounded Ecuador's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-1. Julio Garay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 77th minute of play forced Rosario Central's goalkeeper Julio Garay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Garay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Garay despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rosario Central's Julio Garay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 91st minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ecuador had played much better football throughout.
