In the 10th match minute, Internazionale-RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Alberto Trigo to maneuver through the defense. Stefan Neubrandt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 14th minute of the match. The supporters of Internazionale-RS booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthew Garrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Augusto Alves's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Marcos Cotilla skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 18th minute, Pedro Augusto Alves fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Jorge-Luis Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stefan Neubrandt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute Alan Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Augusto Alves. Pedro Augusto Alves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. In the 36th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthew Garrido to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Internazionale-RS's Pedro Augusto Alves. But to his dismay, Pedro Augusto Alves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. A hard shot 44 in the game by Pedro Augusto Alves from a close distance when the talented Marcos Cotilla managed to make a qualified save. Panama's players were relieved. Internazionale-RS's Michel Netto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcos Cotilla in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Augusto Alves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Augusto Alves in the 51st minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Cotilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alan Tavares's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Matthew Garrido kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Pedro Augusto Alves made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Augusto Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abraham Alguacils short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Stefan Neubrandt to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 75 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Matthew Garrido. After 77 minutes of play, Internazionale-RS's Pedro Augusto Alves made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 80 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Dylan Sarmiento. Pedro Augusto Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. The supporters of Internazionale-RS booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Ros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michel Netto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcos Cotilla. Panama's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Pedro Augusto Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Internazionale-RS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Panama had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
