Gianluigi Buffon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Salvador. If Moises Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Zorita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Rodrigues in the 15th minute. Nico Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moises Fernandino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celsinho Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Mateo Leguizamo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gianluigi Buffon. Apocalipse FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mateo Leguizamo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 42nd match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Yepes to maneuver through the defense. Gianluigi Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Fernandino in the 43rd minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moises Fernandino was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Yepes to maneuver through the defense. El Salvador's attentive Valentino Ferrant managed to snatch the ball when Celsinho Soares made a throw-in in the 56th minute of the game. In the 58th minute, Jailson Sousa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Apocalipse FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After 68 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Marco Tamayo. When Ruy Tinoco came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Apocalipse FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruy Tinoco couldn't finish the play. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Apocalipse FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fábio Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Apocalipse FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Marcos Rodrigues hit a great ball. Ricardo Zorita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ruy Tinoco went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Gianluigi Buffon made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Moises Fernandino sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd minute, Jesus Carvallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Apocalipse FC were the better team. Apocalipse FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
