Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Michael Almqvist in the 17th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Karl-Michael Almqvist sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karl-Michael Almqvist got free with Dante Lacasa in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 81st minute, Karl-Michael Almqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Forza Heppenbach's goalkeeper Hans-Joachim Amerhauser, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, Forza Heppenbach's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Hans-Joachim Amerhauser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 91 minutes Forza Heppenbach's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans-Joachim Amerhauser breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
