Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Miguel Van Mechelen started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Leo Van Mechelen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. 6 minutes into the game, Joery Van Mechelen threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andries Van Mechelen saved YR Mechelen from getting behind. When Joery Van Mechelen fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored YR Mechelen's protests and gave Joery Van Mechelen a yellow card for diving instead. Leo Van Mechelen charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leo Van Mechelen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, YR Mechelen's Leo Van Mechelen got a free kick in the 19th minute. Valentín Carvallo's late challenge caught a YR Mechelen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentín Carvallo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th minute, Valentín Carvallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by Joery Van Mechelen in the 22nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andries Van Mechelen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. The YR Mechelen fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when YR Mechelen's Miguel Van Mechelen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Andries Van Mechelen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 31st minute of play. If Miguel Van Mechelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andries Van Mechelen saved YR Mechelen from getting behind. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Andries Van Mechelen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andries Van Mechelen was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in YR Mechelen's zone, Sebastian Villa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andries Van Mechelen came out of the goal and Sebastian Villa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A sloppy throw-in by Joery Van Mechelen in the 67th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Christian Sancho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Van Mechelen in the 68th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Van Mechelen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Honduras's attentive Valentín Carvallo managed to snatch the ball when Joery Van Mechelen made a throw-in in the 83rd minute of the game. Miguel Van Mechelen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Espinar in the 89th minute of play forced YR Mechelen's goalkeeper Andries Van Mechelen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. YR Mechelen were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Honduras's much stronger midfield.
