Mexico's Luca Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Primitivo Taner came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hans-Joachim Amerhauser showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 19th minute of the match. A collision led to Forza Heppenbach getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Karl-Michael Almqvist hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Luca Zorita fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Michael Almqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Alberto Tafalla hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl-Michael Almqvist to strike the kick off in the second half. Facundo Cadaval fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans-Joachim Amerhauser having to interfere. Hans-Joachim Amerhauser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Michael Almqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Hans-Joachim Amerhauser showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 63rd minute of the match. After 64 minutes Forza Heppenbach's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Karl-Michael Almqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 82nd minute of play forced Forza Heppenbach's goalkeeper Hans-Joachim Amerhauser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Mexico were the better team. Mexico's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
