In the 3rd minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Deportivo Gamberro getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Roman Reynardo hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bruno Pascal, 1-0. Deportivo Gamberro were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lucas Rovan took the corner. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Agustín Saelices advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-0 in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruno Pascal was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Bruno Pascal made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 46 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Deportivo Gamberro's Niceto Perpinya was substituted for Roman Reynardo. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niceto Perpinya made a kick off. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Deportivo Gamberro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Cordaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruno Pascal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Deportivo Gamberro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Cordaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Perpinya in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th match minute, Deportivo Gamberro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Cordaro to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruno Pascal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 76th minute of play forced Deportivo Gamberro's goalkeeper Bruno Pascal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Gamberro's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Pascal came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ecuador fully deserved thier win.
