Luís Fábio Vale hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Apocalipse FC's zone, Axel Tasis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gianluigi Buffon came out of the goal and Axel Tasis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eliseo Noboa struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Gianluigi Buffon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. After having played for 9 minutes, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Noboa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 15 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Apocalipse FC's Marcos Rodrigues. But to his dismay, Marcos Rodrigues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 32 minutes into the game, Marcos Rodrigues cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 35 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. In the 38th minute, Marcos Rodrigues made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. In the 41st minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 63rdth minute of the game Marcos Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Costa Rica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcos Rodrigues ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ruy Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. If Jailson Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Apocalipse FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
