In the 16thth minute of the game Marcos Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraguay's Jacobo Nores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Rodrigues in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Marcos Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcos Rodrigues's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jailson Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nico Alcântara hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Marcos Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apocalipse FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Rodrigues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Nores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcos Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Alan Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Pardo to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcos Rodrigues's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Jacobo Nores skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Hector Covarrubias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Hector Covarrubias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Gianluigi Buffon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jaime Pardo fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraguay's protests and gave Jaime Pardo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Apocalipse FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Jailson Sousa hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Marcos Rodrigues put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jacobo Nores. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Apocalipse FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
