Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. Tiaguinho da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 11th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho da Cunha having to interfere. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adriano Rodrigues got free with Julio Vera in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. After 34 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiaguinho da Cunha was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luis Andino hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Flávio Matos sent off a good shot on target. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adriano Rodrigues to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Daniel Zorita had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 53 minutes into the game, Marcelo Coutinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 54th match minute, Xapetuba Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 56th minute of play forced Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Tiaguinho da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute of the match, Luz Palacio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tiaguinho da Cunha was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 58th minute, Amauri de Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Luz Palacio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tiaguinho da Cunha. That made the score 1-2 in the 61 minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Palacio came free, but Tiaguinho da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 64 minutes Xapetuba Futebol Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Felix Montenegro who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Ecuador's Cristian Sancho getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Tiaguinho da Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Xapetuba Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Rodrigues in the 69th minute of play. Luz Palacio struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Tiaguinho da Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. A collision led to Xapetuba Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Amauri de Lima hit a great ball. Luz Palacio might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiaguinho da Cunha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luz Palacio ran back to his position shaking his head. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Patrick Neiva was substituted for Jacinto Paraíba. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Neiva in the 82nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flávio Matos made a great header on Xapetuba Futebol Clube's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Tiaguinho da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Palacio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Xapetuba Futebol Clube.
