The supporters of Venezuela booed when Maritek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jon Snow didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Ettore Santo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maritek FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ettore Santo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ferruccio Zarillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ferruccio Zarillo struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maritek FC. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferruccio Zarillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Ettore Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Jon Snow hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas got in the 24th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Hélio O'Connell handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferruccio Zarillo in the 27th minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferruccio Zarillo in the 28th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hélio O'Connell saved Maritek FC from getting behind. In the 31st minute, Felice Tacco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 36 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maritek FC the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ettore Santo in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After 40 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andrea Mariani who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ettore Santo in the 44th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Ferruccio Zarillo took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ettore Santo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maritek FC's Federico Ondino was substituted for Felice Tacco. 81 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Moita came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Tomás Moita made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. In the 87th minute, Maritek FC's Tomás Moita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-7. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Toschi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the game, Federico Ondino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-8. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alfredo Toschi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Tomás Moita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Tomás Moita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maritek FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
