Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Metapalo FC's Valentin Negroni started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes in the game Eriberto Belarmo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Jacinto Baumar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dante Rafe in the 7th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute Dante Rafe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Rafe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dante Rafe, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Gavino Belarmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 19th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Espiga got free with Gavino Belarmo in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 28 minutes into the match, Dante Rafe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dante Rafe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The audience was convinced that Dante Rafe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dante Rafe in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 39 minutes into the game, Dante Rafe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Negroni, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the game, Luca Espinar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Espiga was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Metapalo FC's Valentin Negroni slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 0-5 after 56 minutes of play. Dante Rafe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Dante Rafe took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Lautaro Navarro to make any attempt to save it. Dante Rafe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Toto Fabri hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 73rd match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Navarro to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute Dante Rafe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bengt-Arne Thedin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, one of Honduras:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Honduras. Honduras:s Lautaro Navarro showed great skill when he stopped Jacinto Baumar:s penalty. In the 82ndth minute of the game Sebastian Villa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Metapalo FC's Gavino Belarmo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 92nd minute Valentin Negroni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Negroni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arsenio Loramendi charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arsenio Loramendi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Metapalo FC's Arsenio Loramendi got a free kick in the 97th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Metapalo FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
