Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Maritek FC's Aurelio Leoni started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 6th match minute, Maritek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beppe Bassani to maneuver through the defense. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmondo Lepori was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 12 played minutes Maritek FC got a freekick which was hit by Beppe Bassani. After 13 played minutes Maritek FC got a freekick which was hit by Beppe Bassani. In the 15thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maritek FC's Edmondo Lepori was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maritek FC's Edmondo Lepori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Edmondo Lepori. Maritek FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Maritek FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmondo Lepori came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Cristian Sancho put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Edmondo Lepori. Edmondo Lepori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Maritek FC's Edmondo Lepori. Edmondo Lepori was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Felix Montes took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmondo Lepori. Edmondo Lepori dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Maritek FC's Edmondo Lepori got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edmondo Lepori didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. After 69 played minutes Cristian Sancho rounded Maritek FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-8. 72 minutes into the match, Maritek FC's goalkeeper Edmondo Lepori had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edmondo Lepori made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Edmondo Lepori. Maritek FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-10. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
