The supporters of Diego Eterno booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Siro Salamon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Siro Salamon put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ricardo Zorita. In the 24th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentino Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Aurelio Enol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diego Eterno's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelio Enol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Zorita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 33 minutes of play, Diego Eterno's Elvio Gorka made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Zorita was left in no man's land by his defense there! 36 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Siro Salamon came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moises Fernandino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Casimiro Astrada made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

If Abram Luque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 85 minutes of play, El Salvador's Abram Luque made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Casimiro Astrada was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ricardo Zorita made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Esteve Mirande sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute, Siro Salamon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ricardo Zorita. The goal made the score 2-4.
