Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Rodolfo Hanot left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Racing Comunicaciones fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Celio in the 6th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodolfo Hanot scored 0-2 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18th minute, Lautaro Puig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 20th minute of play forced Racing Comunicaciones's goalkeeper Laureano Belasko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Saturnino Roldan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute of the match Radomil Hodyl shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Hanot notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodolfo Hanot was the one to do the kick off. Efrain Moruga's late challenge caught a Racing Comunicaciones's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Efrain Moruga helped the player get up and apologised. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Roldan in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Rodolfo Hanot fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Racing Comunicaciones was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfredo Emmanuel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Racing Comunicaciones's Godfredo Emmanuel got a free kick in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 57th minute of play forced Racing Comunicaciones's goalkeeper Laureano Belasko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66 minutes of play, Racing Comunicaciones's Maximiliano Celio made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Axel Tasis came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Tasis couldn't finish the play. When Abel Carballo fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Abel Carballo a yellow card for diving instead. Alexander Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Aaron Alcocer fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Aaron Alcocer a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Racing Comunicaciones were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
