Racing Comunicaciones's Radomil Hodyl was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lautaro Navarro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Valentín Carvallo hit a great ball. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Roldan, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Moises Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Laureano Belasko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Valentín Carvallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Espiga. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodolfo Hanot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Hanot in the 52nd minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Di Santo in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of Honduras booed when Racing Comunicaciones was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apolo Txindoki didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 74 played minutes Racing Comunicaciones got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Txindoki. Racing Comunicaciones's Laureano Belasko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Racing Comunicaciones from getting a goal against them. Sebastian Villa struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Laureano Belasko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. Apolo Txindoki got a throw-in 80 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Radomil Hodyl. When Christian Sancho fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Christian Sancho a yellow card for diving instead. Christian Sancho hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Laureano Belasko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 87th minute. Laureano Belasko made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Edmundo Espiga sent off a good shot on target. Faustino Egoitz hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After 93 minutes, Edmundo Espiga made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Racing Comunicaciones's Laureano Belasko tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
