Svatomír Oborný struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Hellcats. In the 40th minute, Sebastian Ionășescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Dušan Jiříček managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Hellcats's supporters rose to their feet, but Dušan Jiříček was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Ionășescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svatomír Oborný in the 70th minute of play. Nikolaj Balon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Hellcats reached it. 86 minutes into the game, Hugo Ferrant threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Hellcats's Dušan Jiříček quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. FC Hellcats's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
