Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loid Vandewalle having to interfere. Servera FC's Loid Vandewalle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 9th minute of play. Loid Vandewalle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 14th minute of play. Loid Vandewalle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of the match. Loid Vandewalle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Loid Vandewalle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. 24 minutes into the match, Servera FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Loid Vandewalle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Servera FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Loid Vandewalle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Servera FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Loid Vandewalle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Servera FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. 38 minutes into the match, Servera FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Loid Vandewalle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Servera FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Cesar Froila hit a great ball. Servera FC's Godofredo Inocente was substituted for Guaberto Oso. After a rather tough play, Servera FC's Cesar Froila got a free kick in the 41st minute. Loid Vandewalle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Sixto Gombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Loid Vandewalle having to make a save. After 45 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Cristian Sancho scored 0-2 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Loid Vandewalle, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sixto Gombal kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Loid Vandewalle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loid Vandewalle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Servera FC made a substitution. Leonel Venerando replaced Ciriaco Sabino. After 72 played minutes Ecuador's Daniel Zorita stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Loid Vandewalle stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Servera FC of the goal. Loid Vandewalle made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Loid Vandewalle made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Loid Vandewalle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonel Venerando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Godofredo Inocente hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Servera FC throughout the match.
