Breguete FC's Jailson Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 12th minute of play. Jailson Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugênio de Carvalho in the 16th minute of play. In the 20th minute Eugênio de Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Breguete FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 22nd minute Eugênio de Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Attila Iványi kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jailson Soares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 41stth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Breguete FC's Jailson Soares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugênio de Carvalho in the 43rd minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugênio de Carvalho to make the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benê Fernandez in the 51st minute of play. 52 minutes into the game, Breguete FC's Eugênio de Carvalho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 57th minute. 58 minutes into the game, Nando Custódio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Breguete FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After 58 played minutes Breguete FC got a freekick which was hit by Nando Custódio. In the 60th minute, Attila Iványi made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Jailson Soares made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. 65 minutes into the match, Benê Fernandez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benê Fernandez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. The Breguete FC fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when Breguete FC's Eugênio de Carvalho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Benê Fernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Benê Fernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Breguete FC's Jailson Soares got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Patricio Costa's late challenge caught a Breguete FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patricio Costa helped the player get up and apologised. After 80 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benê Fernandez in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. With his leg Jailson Soares managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roderick van Boxel in the 90th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Eugênio de Carvalho put it in 6-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Breguete FC's Benê Fernandez got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Breguete FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
