Baltasar Distiratsu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baltasar Distiratsu hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Matt Newby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Cristian Tuste kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 27 minutes into the game, Matt Newby was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AMAZON DU DAHOMEY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Venezuela's Roberto Ocampo was substituted for Patricio Costa. Matt Newby kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st match minute, AMAZON DU DAHOMEY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matt Newby to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Matt Newby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind AMAZON DU DAHOMEY's goalkeeper 罗亮磊, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 39th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltasar Distiratsu in the 51st minute of play. 52 minutes into the match, AMAZON DU DAHOMEY's goalkeeper 罗亮磊 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. The supporters of Venezuela booed when AMAZON DU DAHOMEY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matt Newby didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roberto Ocampo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 罗亮磊 having to interfere. Matt Newby made in the 60th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas. 罗亮磊 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 61st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, AMAZON DU DAHOMEY's Matt Newby got a free kick in the 66th minute. Jonathon Ashton's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathon Ashton helped the player get up and apologised. Jonathon Ashton hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Cristian Tuste took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After 70 played minutes AMAZON DU DAHOMEY got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Millman. Tomas Illescas in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of 罗亮磊, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Tuste in the 77th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 罗亮磊 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. 罗亮磊 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 罗亮磊 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 84th minute. The throw-in from Matt Newby in the 86th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. After 86 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Gisbert. Matt Newby hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Matt Newby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. AMAZON DU DAHOMEY had won after a very even match.
