Maraponga FAC's Marcinho Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jardel Falcão made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Maximiliano Escribano sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th match minute, Maraponga FAC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fernando Tróia to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Maximiliano Escribano took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jardel Falcão to make any attempt to save it. In the 47th minute Marcinho Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Maraponga FAC's goalkeeper Jardel Falcão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jardel Falcão came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jardel Falcão having to interfere. A collision led to Maraponga FAC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Dorian Breckenfeld hit a great ball. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Jardel Falcão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jardel Falcão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Cazalla's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Marcinho Simões came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Joaquin Gayoso could save by the left post. 80 minutes into the match, Maraponga FAC's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Jardel Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
