Rolando Elizondo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 23 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rolando Elizondo. That made the score 5-0 in the 43 minute of play. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind CS La Libertad's goalkeeper Rolando Elizondo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
