In the 6th minute, Agustín Saelices made a precise shot to the right of Vinicio Christobal. Los Hornos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vinicio Christobal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 14 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vinicio Christobal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Los Hornos's Cecilio Silvanito managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Luis Andino in the 17 minute of the game. In the 18th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Christobal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vinicio Christobal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Los Hornos's Vinicio Christobal. Vinicio Christobal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vinicio Christobal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vinicio Christobal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 63rd minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Christobal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Los Hornos's Vinicio Christobal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 65th minute of play. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 0-10 when Agustín Saelices sped through Los Hornos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vinicio Christobal. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 0-11 from a short distance just to the right of Vinicio Christobal. Vinicio Christobal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Christobal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-16.
